A short hike in a new Georgetown park.
This cache is located in Rivery Park in Georgetown. It's our first traditional cache hide so shouldn't be too tough. The last 40 ft or so of terrain are a little steep and/or slippery but otherwise it's a nice walk.
Original cache contents are the typical swag.
I recommend parking at these coordinates: N 30 38.728 and W 97 40.978 This is a public parking area for the park and it's down a dirt road - just follow your GPS past Dukes!. From there it's about 0.3 miles round trip.
Take a frisbee and check out the disc golf course while you're there!!
UPDATE! (5/23/06): There is now a road going into the park that will take you to a parking lot that is much closer than the original parking coords. Coordinates for the new road are N 30 38.856 and W 097 41.252. Approach this from Rivery Blvd.
