A 5 minute walk in the bush just of SH1
This is a great little bush reserve that many folk will have passed without any idea of its existence.
A nice easy track, and good specimen trees. Getting the GPSr fix may be a problem, especially in wet conditions. If so use the clues.
There is a loop track and a longer walk up to a Pa site.
Please remember the recommended precautions for Kauri die back disease. i.e. clean footware walking sticks etc and stay on or close to the track.
The cache is a camo-painted plastic barrel and contained log book etc and a few trinkets.
