Geocache Description:

A nice walk on the beach

When I was a kid, my dad used to drop my brother and I off on this beach on his way to work. We would spend the entire day hiking the 9 miles back home, picking up assorted beach treasures along the way. We would arrive home with items ranging from Japanese glass fishing floats to wounded seagulls. If you make this hike along the beach, you might find a few treasures of your own.

The best way to approach the site is from the southernmost beach parking lot. Don't let the noisy ATV's scare you away..the beach is closed to vehicles so you should find plenty of solitude. The hike is a bit over 2 miles to the cache, but the terrain is flat. The coordinates will get you to the first cache, which is a brown tub filled with seashells we found on the way. Inside the lid you will find the coordinates to the second cache box.

Happy Hiking!
