In order to get credit for this virtual, you must count the wooden boards on the sleeping platform (floor).
Deep Gap Shelter was removed from it orginial location back in 1992. It is now on Display in the small town of Damascus, Virginia. I spend many nights in this shelter before is was moved. It has given shelter to many other hikers over the years. Please email me the number of wooden boards that make up the floor (sleeping platform). Do not count the beams, just the boards. Go ahead and post your find but please do not give the answer away in your post. Happy trails.
