It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. So that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Welcome to the all new Turtle Grotto!

I recently adopted this cache, and I am relaunching it with some improvements. The container is now a 7.62mm ammo can with lots of goodies inside, including a fresh dry logbook and pen. And the location is a few feet from where it was previously, to better hide the larger container. Coordinates have been revised.

If you haven't logged Turtle Grotto, now is a better time than ever. It's a quick find in a scenic location. And if you've logged it before, but decide to check out what's new, please "Write a note" and let me know you stopped by.

I recommend parking on the southwest side of the road, where the shoulder is wider, a few hundred feet from the cache. I don't recommend this cache for a nighttime find, because crossing this busy road could be hazardous at night.
