This cache is located in a little used King Co Park next to the Maple Valley Highway. There are several large ponds next to the Cedar River. This is The Place to see water fowl, beaver activity and salmon.
Unfortunatley the original Prickly Pond cache and it's replacement vanished. This is such a great little spot that I decided to give it one more try. Park just off the highway near the Riverbend Trailer Park @ 47 27.830 / 122 06.702. After a short walk,look for a path between the "sticker bushes", 47 27.917 / 122 07.000 for us techno types. Your near the cache when you see the tree with five trunks. Please, Please, Please, ensure that the cache is well hidden when you leave so this one doesn't vanish also.
If it is Fall, be sure to check out the fish and game survey station at the end of the road. It is only about 100 yards further down the road. Near the cache, be sure to notice the work of the beavers.
