Stationery Objects Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoCrater: I am regretfully archiving this cache as the land owner / manager has contacted us and has requested the cache be removed from this location. The blue heron water treatment facility in Titusville Florida has revoked permission to have geocaches on the lands they manage.

Geocache Description:

Located at the Titusville Wetlands

UPDATE***************************************************
The cache has been moved to a safer area (for the cache).
The new coordinates N 28 31.674 W 080 51.461
I spoke with Carol (who works at the front desk of the treatment facility) and she has notified the security personnel that there is a geocache in the wetlands and if people would like to visit the area between sunup and dusk (during non-business hours), they should ring the buzzer and tell security that they are searching for the geocache and you will be admitted to the wetlands. Both she and Robert Harrison have been very supportive of the geocache here. Please thank them if you are visiting during regular hours.
************************************************************

Take a tour of the Titusville Wetlands Area at the Blue Heron Wetland Treatment System. General visitation hours are Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The staff can be reached at 321-383-5642 for more information. All visitors must sign in and check out at the administration building. A vehicle pass will be issued upon signing in. This is to be visibly displayed on the vehicle and returned when exiting. Visitors should follow the signs through the plant to the Wetlands. Do not stray from this route, as this is an operational facility with many potential hazards.
Vehicle traffic is limited to the Wetland perimeter berms. All berms are open to foot and bicycle traffic. On occasion, areas of the Wetlands will be off limits. Do not enter these areas for your personal safety.

You will probably get a chance to view a wide variety of wildlife including all sorts of wading birds, alligators, bobcats, and deer. Many Sandhill Cranes make the Blue Heron Water Treatment facility their home.

The cache contains a variety of items including modeling clay, compass, folding ruler, flashcards, stapler, calculator, colored markers, and more. A first finders prize (mini leatherman type tool) is included in the cache. The biggest level of difficulty for this cache is the time constraints on the availability of the Wetlands area.
Enjoy the wildlife and the ride around the wetlands.
