Geocache Description:

Distance between the two points can be considerable, depending on mode of transportation.

This is my first, a multi-cache, and the theme is refrigerator magnets, in honor of the friendship of my English friend and travel companion who lives in London. We compete to find the tackiest magnet from our travels around the world, and when we get together, a bartender becomes our judge (the loser buys the winner a bottle of wine).

Look closely close to the second stage and see the granite fence posts that were created by prisoners at Folsom Prison in the early 1900s, as it was cheaper than fence posts made from wood.

The coordinates for the second stage are approximate. I had to take three readings to get the most accurate. Stage 2 is a good hike away. To get to Stage 2, pick up the bike trail along Lake Natoma and head toward Folsom Dam.

I ask only one thing: please stick to the theme and swap out a tacky magnet!

The original cache contained the following:

Idaho potato
Loch Ness monster
Plastic fish filled with fake sand, water, and shells from San Francisco
Oregon “map”
Lips (a memo holder)
Surfing frog from California
