Located in Bangkok Thailand, one of the greatest cities in the world. Dusit zoo is a very beautiful zoo that's well worth the visit. They of course have elephants, pigmy hippos, lots and lots of gibbons, monkeys, deer, many species of birds including hornbills, giraffes, tigers, most everything a normal zoo would have. Plus, if you watch the big lake you'll notice that 3 to 5 foot long water monitors (giant lizards) are running around loose! Like raccoons in the US. See photo below! Your quarry is a brass medallion hidden in the zoo. The medallion has a two digit number at the bottom. Report the number to show you found the cache. There is a picture below (appropriately blurred) of what you are looking for. **If you can't find the medallion, send photos to show you were actually, physically at the cache site and you can count the cache.** Also pictured below are directions to Dusit Zoo in English and Thai, just print off the pic and show it to any taxi driver in Bangkok and he'll be able to take you to the zoo. There are other coordinates on the medallion, these may be used in the future, don't worry about them now, I'll email them to everyone who finds the cache if I do something with them. Happy Caching! PS - Gave it a 4.5 beacuse you first have to get to Thailand, and I never saw a GPS for sale anywhere in the country! Otherwise it would be a 1. It may seen a bit continent-centric but there don't seem to be many Thai cachers... YET! ************* Please visit: http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#virts As per the instructions on Geocaching.com: Virtual Caches A virtual cache is an existing, permanent landmark of a unique nature. The seeker must answer a question from the landmark and verify to the cache owner that he was physically at the location. The owner will assume the responsibility of quality control of logged “finds” for the cache, and will agree to delete any “find” logs that appear to be bogus, counterfeit, off topic, or not within the stated requirements. *********** I didn't know people were not visiting the area before logging the caches. I will delete any logs placed by people who did not visit the cache area. If I mistakenly delete your log and you did visit the cache, I apologize. Please re-log it.
