Park at N34 39.853 W085 03.571. Getting to cache is a little over a half-mile roundtrip. When we placed it, there were several natural springs running from the trail itself in places, kinda cool to see, but we had lots of rain in past few weeks. Also, lost my shirt on this cache, literally!
Yep, It was hot, so I stripped down to a t-shirt and let my favorite shirt on a rock, mentally remembering to get it on the down hike. Wound up taking a shortcut down and forgot it completly! First GCers that find it, leave it at information board at head of trail, note in the weblog and I'll run and get it! Else, wash it (it's sweaty!) and wear it, knowing that I was too tired and lazy to go back after it...
OK, standard ammo box, painted black, with lots of goodies for trading. Hidden from front view but can be seen from behind if for some reason you came in a real adventuresome side of the mountain, which is doubtful. Off the trail a bit. Not exactly in Gordon County as I planned it, but not far away...it gave me another idea of a great place in Walker County to hide another, if someone hasn't placed one there yet! Will it be johnnie again, first?
As of January 1st 2009, all of my caches will be exempt from logging for challenges, games, series or other bookmarked nonsense dragging down our sport. I will delete any finds associated with it.
