Geocache Description:

Cache name says it all, but....THIS CACHE IS NOT ON, IN OR UNDER EITHER THE BRIDGE OR THE PIER.

Took less than two years to complete this causeway and bridge back in the thirties. Mules and slip pans and two yard dump trucks. A few years ago a tug boat knocked out a piece of the bridge 175 feet long and it took over three years to replace that piece! Modern methods! The bridge is new but both the North and South ends of the original bridge are still there and used as fishing piers....bring your tackle!! Also bring a garbage bag....cache in...trash out!
