Geocache Description:

Located in Green Lakes State park at the southern most end of the park. there is really no easy way there. Its a good hike."NOTE" Cache is now Registered with Green Lakes State Park

Take note! This is a "letterbox hybrid" cache. That means the cache box contains a rubber stamp and an inkpad, not the usual collection of geocaching prizes. Letterboxing is a much older treasure hunt game that originated in Great Britain. Did you know there are several letterboxes right here in Central New York?
Rather than exchanging prizes, you will need to bring a unique rubber stamp to exchange images with the cache and your own pen to sign the log. Use your stamp in the cache log when you sign it. Then use the cache stamp in your own log book. The cache container is round and covered with camo duck tape, 4"diameter 4" high

Its been told that the Indians use to build fires in the crevice of the rocks and baked there bread on the rocks above.
This spot was donated by the Betsy Knapp Estate so that the land wasn't developed and the ovens destroyed.

The Hike is long so I rated it a 4.5, and if you make the trip take plenty of water to drink on the hot Days. The foilage may cause some GPS trouble. Enjoy
