Located near an old man-made gorge in Historic Yackandandah. There are some steep steps and walking over rocks so not suitable for invalids (sorry) but should be fine for families.
This is Yackandandah's first cache. Located just a few minutes outside the historic gold mining town.
Access to the area is along an easily locatable path which has a small steep section in it. The cache is on public land - if you think you have to cross fences then you've gone too far.
Take time to visit Yackandandah, see if you can find the pub that was once owned by Mel Gibson (ask around, it isn't obvious)
The cache itself is a small screw-top plastic container so don't bring large gifts.
Inside we've left:
- A pack of playing cards
- A blank audio-tape
- A coin from the Cook Islands
- A travel bug (in the middle of it's travels)
as well as the usual logbook and pens.
