Max Cacher: Hello

I noticed this cache while going through all the ones that have been made temporarily unavailable for more than 30 days and archiving them so they will either be fixed or taken off this status , this is something I do every month, when you are ready just email be back and I will unarchive it. You would be surprised how many caches there are like this. And lets be real here if someone can’t fix it in the cache in 30days “well”.

We can not hold this location for you if someone else wants to place a cache there

I do appreciate all the work you have been doing to make this a better sport.

Geocache Description:

Cache is in a large butter tub at the site of Rothrock's Mill on the Blue River.

Rothrock’s Dam originally was the site of a working mill. The area has changed considerably in the last 15 years. In the late 1980’s, the dam was almost completely removed to facilitate canoe passage.

Although the mill is gone, the large pillars that supported the building are still here, as well as portions of the dam. When the river is not too high, this is a very pretty place, fun for wading and swimming. It can be a high traffic area on week-ends from April to October, due to the fact that it is used as both a stopping and starting point for canoe trips. Most people will not venture too near the cache area, though.

Another nice thing about this location is that it has a pit toilet, which may come in really handy if you've been wandering around the countryside doing the other two caches in this remote area.

There is absolutely NO reason to go into or around the nettles. Please stay on the path. The cache is within 3 feet of the path.
