Geocache Description:


Cache is a large ammo can located just off the banks of the Wolf River near Long Beach Mississippi. It has been placed as a memorial to the epic journey for which it is named. Cache can potentially be reached by foot although that cannot be verified as of yet. The recommended approach is via canoe containing a cooler loaded with 'baseball water'. It is also recommended that you plan to spend the night on the river as the cache is located near an 8.5 (on a 10 point scale) sand bar that is ideal for pitching a tent. During the summer, protect yourself with plenty of sunscreen and bug spray, both of which can be effective in warding off those annoying deer flies that love the coastal waterways.
