The name of our little town, Cashmere WA, just begs to have geocaches hidden
here. So in keeping with it's name I am making this a cash cache. I am starting
it off with several coins from around the world and special US coins. Please trade with other foreign
coins, special US money, or add some "Where's George" bills. This is a
small cache container so you will need to bring your own writing utensil.
The original cash in the cache:
Icelandic coins: 3 new "fish" Krona coins and 5 old Aurar
coins. Note: When Iceland went to the new Krona coin, commonly referred to as
"fish" money because each coin has a fish on the back, they dumped
all of the old coins over a cliff into Keflavik bay. I climbed down to their
dump and recovered a few of the old Aurar coins when I was stationed in Iceland.
American coins: 2 Bicentennial quarters, 1 New Hampshire state
quarter, 4 wheat pennies.
Canadian coins: 1 dollar, 2 quarters, 3 dimes, 2 nickels, and 5
pennies.
British coins: 1 pound, 1 two shillings, 1 one shilling, 1 twenty
pence, 1 ten pence, 1 five pence, 1 two pence and 1 penny.
