The big ship made up of 24 gigantic blocks is one of the largest in Sweden. This kind of ship was previously believed to be the place where pagan judges held trial but actually they are graves from the Iron Age. Close by, there are another 23 burial places of different kinds. The Iron Age was from 500 b.c. to 500 a.d.
The peasants had great difficulties to understand what the great ring of stones was. And how did it get there ? They were familiar with moving stones, but boulders of 10, maybe 20 tons, who was able to move them ?
