A nice hike along the Snake River Canyon.
This cache is located West of the Hanson Bridge. Park on the North West side of the bridge and enjoy the trip. Climbing to the top of the rim will make the way a little easier, but some sights will be missed. If adventurous, two trips to the rim will be required to advance towards your destination. A round trip of 1 1/2 miles will bring you back to the parking area. Be CAREFUL, the rocks here are loose, slick, and full of cracks, no broken bones, ok?!!
Cache is named after the rapids below the coordinates. Like the game show, Lets Make a Deal, in which doors were chosen for wonderful prizes or gag gifts, these rapids (at high water) gave the choice of doorways in which to proceed. However, choosing the wrong door here could lead to disaster.
The Snake River through this stretch (once again, during high water) is some of the most trecherous in the North West. Thanks to tgundy for info on the area.
