Hier am Ende der Westerwieke steht eine Bank. Ich habe hier noch nie jemanden sitzen sehen, aber für mikachu2014, FuxiMuxiDuxiAouh und mich ist das die Picknickbank. Denn hier kann man bei einem Spaziergang schön mit Blick auf die Wieke eine kurze Snack-Pause einlegen.

Und dann gibt es hier noch eine Besonderheit, die einem vielleicht nicht gleich bewusst ist. Von hier aus kann man, zumindest theoretisch, problemlos die ganze Welt auf dem Wasserweg bereisen! Denn über Westerwieke, Rolofswieke, Großefehnkanal und Nordgeorgsfehnkanal kommt man nach etwa 8 Kilometern auf den Ems-Jade-Kanal. Dann ist nur noch die Frage, ob es über Emden oder über Wilhelmshaven in die Nordsee geht. Und dann wohin man will.

Achso, einen Cache gibt es hier jetzt auch. Den findet ihr auch ohne Hinweis, wenn ihr an der Bank sucht, denn so viele Versteckmöglichkeiten gibt es hier ja nicht. Es muss nicht am oder im Wasser gesucht werden.

Here at the end of the so-called Westerwieke you can find a bench. I have yet to see someone taking a rest here. Perhaps something that is not immediately obvious is that you can travel the whole world on the water starting from here. Via the Westerwieke itself and then along Rolofswieke, Großefehnkanal and Nordgeorgsfehnkanal you can reach the Ems-Jade-Kanal. At this point, you just have to decide if you want to reach the North Sea via Emden or Wilhelmshaven. And then you can travel wherevery you want.

Of course you can now also find a cache here. You will find it without any hint, if you search close to the bench, as the hiding options here are quite limited. There is no need to search near or in the water!
