A Lonely Traveler’s Invitation
Oh, weary wanderers on life’s wide way,
I, a lone traveler, greet this day.
Beneath the sun's soft, golden hue,
I bid you join—though I’ve but means for one.
At 10 a.m., the kettle will sing,
And breakfast’s warmth I shall bring.
Coffee will flow, dark and bold,
To warm your hearts from the morning’s cold.
I cannot pay, save for my share,
But bring your laughter, your stories, your care.
And if you’ve little travelers, bright and small,
Let them join—there’s room for all.
By 12 p.m., our time will wane,
Yet memories made shall still remain.
So come, dear souls, with an open heart,
Let’s share this morning, though worlds apart.
