On this day 121 years ago, the Wright Brothers made their first (and also their second, third, and fourth) powered flights. Wright Brothers Day celebrates the first successful controlled flight of a mechanical, heavier-than-air aircraft. Brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright achieved this flight on December 17th, 1903, in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. With Boeing Field nearby, let's use the excuse to get together and talk about where we flew this year and where we are flying off to next year.
The Washington State Geocaching Association sponsors this event. It is open to all geocachers: Puget Sound area cachers and visitors, WSGA members and non-members, seasoned cachers and newcomers, and families are all welcome.
If you are a geocacher in the State of Washington, please consider joining the WSGA. Follow this link to visit our website to learn more about becoming a WSGA member.
