Although the CITO runs for 3 hours - feel free to drop by if you have any time to spare (breaktime will be around 11 am). All help gratefully received.
Parking: There is some on street parking on Laxton Road (or in many of the other side streets nearby).
Where: We will meet up on Laxton Road near the footpath sign that leads down to Green Lane Reserve for 09:30 (see reference point), or after that find us in the Reserve (near CITO event coords).
What: We will be continue the last CITOs efforst clearing encroaching scrub and bramble from the path edges around the reserve. This keeps the footpaths clear over the summer when the birds are nesting. The ranger and friendly volunteers will be on hand to give guidance on the task.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have them tools, so if you have shears, loppers and secateurs please do bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have them as the Ranger will have a supply too.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please bring drinks and snacks for breaktime - scrub clearing can be thirsty work 🙂
