Geocache Description:

Another in the Marx Bros. series. Well, Dad was a thoroughbred consultant for almost of his working life, working for William Inglis and Winchcombe Carson, then when health issues arose, he was a photographer and advertising consultant for Racetrack Magazine.

Now, my “racing” memories were mostly at Rosehill, as well as various weekend trips to horse studs around NSW, but every Friday night when Dad drove us from Epping to his place in Glebe, we would pass the bright lights of Harold Park. Dad never took us in there, but we would often watch the dogs chase that rabbit on the TV.

The walking/riding path that goes along the eastern side of the canal here used to be a road, and we would turn down it, past the locked-up tram sheds and Jubilee Oval, eventually to the bottom end of Glebe point Road. It was the best way, as it avoided the traffic at the shops further up.

Anyway, here is another cache to celebrate a wonderful period of my childhood, as well as name it after another of the great Marx Bros. films. And yes, Queen named another album after it…and it is my favourite Queen album.

The old locked up tram sheds, of course, are no longer locked up, but there is a pretty busy shopping and eating scene going on. There is even a record stall in there! The cache is on the southern side of the complex, just outside the exit doors.
