Meet the Kitty
Cat Servant: Boom_Boom_143
The Cat: Mittens
Mittens was a special needs rescue kitty. She came to me with blindness in one eye ~ and missing all but 4 teeth (so her tongue would hang out of her mouth often) ~ She had “thumbs” on her front paws (hence her name of Mittens) and was a dwarf / munchkin kitty. What she lacked in size ~ she made up for in personality and love. She taught me to open my heart to those kitties with special needs need homes too. She passed on 10/8/2021 after losing a battle of kidney failure. I miss her dearly.
The Trail
The Fred Meijer Flat River Valley Rail-Trails runs from Belding to Greenville and caches are placed within the right of way for the trail. A few caches are placed along the Fred Meijer Flat River Trail that circles Greenville and a few are on the sides of the roads. You can walk, run, bike, snowshoe, and cross country ski the rail-trail between Belding and Greenville. Currently the majority of rail-trail is not paved; it is crushed asphalt.
Parking
Coordinates for parking are in the additional waypoints of the first cache to this Geo-Art, GCAWHAX.
Caches
Some caches may require wading, short tree climbs, log crossing, and climbing up steep hills. Many of the caches are winter friendly but several are at ground level. You may need to dig through the snow for a few. All containers are painted sports bottles with a tube inside for the log book. Containers are tethered to location with strong camoed fish line. Please do not break. Do not add any swag to the container or the next may not be able to get out the log book. If a cap comes up missing, please, let CO know or carry a few sports bottle caps with you. If the fish line breaks, fix or let the CO know.
Please be respectful of this area!
Respect the environment: Geocaching is a great way to get outdoors and explore new places, but it’s important to be respectful of the environment when you’re geocaching. Be sure to pack out all of your trash, and don’t damage any plants or animals when you’re searching for geocaches.
I have not provided a writing utensil ✏️, but you must sign the log to make a claim of found!
