Geocache Description:

The Binzhou Railway Bridge in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China, holds significant historical importance. Originally built in 1901 by Russian engineers, it was named "Binsui-Railway Bridge" and played a crucial role in connecting Harbin to the Soviet border.

Known affectionately as Lao Jiang Bridge, it has witnessed Harbin's evolution from a rural outpost to an international city over a century. Despite ceasing operations with the opening of a nearby high-speed railway bridge, it now resides within the Middle East Railway Park, accessible to both locals and tourists. Visitors can explore its preserved rail sections and walk along a newly constructed glass walkway offering views of the original tracks and the Songhua River below.
