Geocache Description:

The City of Victoria (維多利亞城), was the de facto capital of Hong Kong during its time as a British dependent territory.

In 1857, the scope of Victoria City was divided into four "wans" and nine "yeuks" (四環九約). The four wans are Sai WanSheung WanChoong Wan and Ha Wan. "Sai Wan" (上環), "Sheung Wan" (西環) and "Choong Wan" (中環) retain the same name in Chinese today.

In 1903, boundary stones were established to mark the city's boundary and 9 nos. of them are existed today. The stones spread from Kennedy Town to Causeway Bay.

This cache is placed near the No. 1 boundary stone from the western side of Victoria City, which is located at the Kennedy Town Recreation Ground nowadays.
