This is the seventh cache in our Arnside Trail series. It's close to the trig point on Arnside Knott in an area that is often used by families for a picnic - be aware when searching though because Arnside Knott is also home to wildlife and wonderful plant life, such as orchids. In this area you can find (from May/June) Common Twayblade orchids and other wild flowers. Please take care when searching for this cache - you won't have to go into the grass where the flowers bloom! The photo below is a sign at Cache site no. 2, but it provides information and a photo of the Common Twayblade orchid and other flowers - so please take care!
The coordinates for the cache should be spot on and they are in an area where you might encouter people - it's not far off the path! You don't have to disturb any walls or fences or walk around the grass.
This geocache was placed with kind permission from the Arnside & Silverdale AONB and the National Trust.
