Le Bois de Mont a été façonné par l’Homme. Le chêne pédonculé, le frêne, l’érable et le hêtre y dominent apportés par la gestion forestière. L’humus couvre le sol en entretenant une humidité quasi permanente et la fertilité. Il est possible de rencontrer lors d’une promenade au travers bois la salamandre noire et jaune, et la grenouille rousse qui pratiquent l’art de la dissimulation. Si le sanglier a disparu, le chevreuil passe d’un bois à l’autre et se signale par ses traces. La pie, le geai, la buse variable et la grive sont les oiseaux de cette forêt. A l’orée de la forêt, une humble chapelle rappelle la mémoire de Mme Tuné, guérisseuse du siècle dernier que l’on venait, non sans crainte, consulter de fort loin. The Bois de Mont has been shaped by man. Pedunculate oak, ash, maple and beech dominate there, brought by forest management.
