Blue Switch Day is held on May 2nd of each year and recognizes the day when the US Government "flipped the switch" and made high accuracy GPS available to everyone. It's no coincidence that Blue Switch Day is also when it all began for geocaching since the first geocache was hidden one day later, on May 3rd, 2000.
FIELD PUZZLE:
Simply finding the cache at GZ is not enough to make the find. To claim the smiley, you MUST bring a TOTT (2 AA batteries) and use them to open the cache to access the logsheet. Please message the CO with evidence to show that you've sucessfully opened the cache to reveal the logsheet.
NOTE:
Although it's not a requirement of this cache, you can include a picture with your log as proof that you've flipped the switch for Blue Switch Day BUT SPOILER PICS WILL BE DELETED!
