Geocache Description:

The Williamson Valley Road Series is a Morgan Ranch Park Association history project. Information about the history of the area can be found by reading the MRPA books – Williamson Valley Road, Williamson Valley & Beyond, and Prescott to Camp Wood: Cowboy Bill. Morgan Ranch Nature Park is 8 miles north on Williamson Valley Road. Find more information at our Williamson Valley Historical Society-E. Facebook page. The picture on the sides of this page shows members of the Stringfield family on their ranch.

This is a challenge cache. The container is at the posted coordinates. If you find the cache, you may post a note, but you may only log a find when you meet this challenge. I would appreciate it if you would copy and paste the results from the checker onto your log.

Warning: If you don't come in from the parking coordinates, this placement will not be a walk in the park. You will have to walk through a mostly dry creek bed that can have puddles, pools, and expansive soil after a rain shower. There is a good-sized body of water called Stringfield Tank that you will have to navigate around. After a few tenths of a mile, you must climb over rocky terrain to get to the GZ. That's why I strongly recommend parking at the parking coordinates listed on this cache page and hike in from there.

There is no danger of falling rocks nor are there any cliffs near this cache. I just chose those attributes for this challenge. My  GPS couldn't get closer than 13 ft at the GZ, for some reason. Read the hint.

Cachers are required to obtain a permit to access STL. This permit ensures a responsible and sustainable exploration of the area. This link directs you to the necessary permit application process.
