This is a revival of the 33rd in the Rest 'n Peace Cemetery Series - Centre County. Frain, also known as Jacksonville Evangelical, is a relatively young cemetery nestled at one of Marion Township's earliest intersections on the southeast side of Howard Gap.
The earliest interment was a Mrs. Mary Ann Zeigler Frain in 1884 (hence the original name) but this resting place is still active with the most recent burial being just a few weeks prior to this cache's original publication in 2016. There are 98 known burials at the site, meaning that on average less than a one person per year is laid to rest here. UPDATE: The aforementioned burial is the last known internment in this cemetery, and with no new burials in 7.5 years its status as 'active' may be in doubt.
The cache is not located at the cemetery, but instead across the street affording a wonderful view of the entire hillside. Ample parking can be found along Jacksonville road immediately adjacent to the cache. You do not need to walk along the road at any point to access the cache, and be careful crossing the road if you visit the burials.

As with any cemetery cache, please be respectful of those who are interred here.
