This is the future home for the Longswamp Township Historical Society. The first piece of the puzzle is in place with the caboose that is on site. Eventually they want to bring the Mertztown Train Station (which currently is less then a mile away) up to the park. The Historical Society wants to construct a museum and library using the remanants of the old train station.
This park is open dusk to dawn, please no night caching. Also, this is handicap accessible for 9 months of the year. They close the gate to the upper part of the park around November until the end of March. When the gate is closed this isn't handicap accessible and if snow is on the ground, put your boots on to walk to the cache. If the pavilon next to the caboose is being rented out for an event please be respectful.
