Blockhaus de Sainte-Marguerite-sur-Mer

 En 1995 , la municipalité de Sainte-Marguerite-Sur-Mer demande aux sapeurs-pompiers de Dieppe de provoquer l'éboulement de la falaise pour faire chuter ce bunker, contruit en 1942 par les Allemands; vestige du mur de l'Atlantique. En effet, celui-ci présentait un danger pour les promeneurs car à tout moment le bunker menaçait de tomber de la falaise.

Lorsque les sapeurs-pompiers de Dieppe ont fait glisser le bunker de 1650 tonnes et de plus de 20 mètres, ils pensaient que celui-ci allait se briser en plusieurs morceaux......et non ! Au contraire , il s'est planté à la verticale devenant une étrange sculpture qui attire, encore aujourd'hui, des touristes, des photographes,.....

Il y a 30 ans, le bunker s'est planté contre la falaise. On constate, à l'heure actuelle, que celui-ci s'en est éloigné de plus de 30 mètres ; ceci est dû à l'érosion et au recul des falaises.

Attention, n'oubliez pas de vérifier le calendrier des marées .

Pour valider cette cache virtuelle , vous devez remplir les conditions suivantes :

- Prendre une photo du bunker tombé en incluant votre pseudo géocaching (obligatoire).

- Joindre la photo à votre log.

- Montrer son visage est facultatif, pas obligatoire 

Attention ! La photo doit être intégrée à votre log et non en messagerie privée/géocaching.

Blockhouse of Sainte-Marguerite-sur-Mer

In 1995, the municipality of Sainte-Marguerite-Sur-Mer asked the Dieppe firefighters to cause the cliff to collapse to bring down the bunker, built in 1942 by the Germans, a vestige of the Atlantic Wall. When the Dieppe firefighters dragged the bunker weighing 1,650 tonnes and more than 20 meters, they thought it was going to break into several pieces......and no! On the contrary, it stood vertically becoming a strange sculpture which still attracts tourists, photographers, etc. today.

30 years ago, the bunker was planted against the cliff. We see, at present, that it has moved away from it by more than 30 meters; this is due to erosion and retreat of the cliffs.

Be careful, don't forget to check the tide calendar.

To validate this virtual cache, you must meet the following conditions:

- Take a photo of the fallen bunker including your geocaching nickname (required).

- Attach the photo to your log.

- Showing your face is optional, not obligatory.

Attention ! The photo must be integrated into your log and not in private messaging/geocaching.
