Marda Dam is located near the Bullfinch-Evanston Road.
There is a water tank, and small dam with posts and green slime. Little else appears to be at the site.
You will see loads of cow hoof prints and cow dung as this is clearly where they come to drink.
If you came from the Aurora - Helena Ranges you will have seen many signs pointing to Marda Dam and you get to a point where you wonder if it actually exists....hence why we led you here!
But when you are here it is a fascinating place and a nice break from the track....stop and enjoy a cuppa! Just look out for cattle!
