Another cache to give you some incentive to wander about the Town of Shandaken.
This cache brings you to a place that Hurricane Irene wiped out in 2011. Flood water from the hurricane washed out and flooded roads east, west, north and south cutting Shandaken off from getting or giving help. Power was out for a week. Roads had to be rebuilt. It was a mess.
As for the cache, it takes advantage of some of that rebuilding and is hiding at a location that was rebuilt and reenforced as part of the recovery.
