*** Daylight Hours Only ***
Just another quick little find in a peaceful resting place. I wasn't planning on placing a geocache here, but as I passed through just before sunset I was taken in by the golden hues in the backdrop of the apple orchards. It was so beautiful and peaceful here.
Among the oldest graves I was able to find were: Henry Crum, George Fehl, and Tobias Roth - all laid to rest in 1820. There are also three members of the Arendt family resting peacefully here: Catharine (unknown-1896), Elizabeth (1786-1853), and John (1785-1874).
The cache is a GOLDEN bison with blended in perfectly with the golden leaves of the tree in which it rests.
As with all cemeteries, please be quiet and respectful - taking only photos and leaving only footprints. Also note: this is an active cemetery so if there are any services taking place, please return at a later time.
