For years, there was a store nearby that specialized in just Christmas stuffs. Well, they sold all kinds of subpar seasonal things too, but that's a story for another time. Earlier this year, the Grinch closed this store!

When I was a little kid, I used to love visiting the Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth, MI. Frankenmuth is a wonderful German styled town, which is a must see if you are ever in the area between the thumb and index finger of Michigan. Just off the highway and on the main road entering town is Bonner's Christmas Wonderland. It open in 1945 and is the world’s largest Christmas shop. It is open 361 days a year and spawls over a complex the size of 1.5 football fields. It has over 50,000 trims and gifts, 8,000 styles of ornaments, personalized stockings and ornaments, lights, Nativities, Advent calendars, and a wide variety of collectibles.

The Christmas Wonderland is visited annually by over two million people, with over 50,000 visiting the weekend after Thanksgiving. Christmas Lane is illuminated nightly with over 100,000 lights.

There is also an exact replica of The Silent Night Memorial Chapel in Oberdof, Austria.

On Christmas Day in 2010, The Christmas Wonderland was vandalized. Seventy Four displays were damaged with an estimated $40,000 in damage. Graffiti was spray painted on back if the Chapel that read "gebrüll teilzunehmen frühgotisch" which loosely translate to "Lions are Predominant in Old Architecture".

Now those are some real Grinches that ruined Christmas!
