This is a challenge cache. It is NOT hidden at the posted coordinates, but at the visible waypoint below. In order to log a ‘Found It’, you need to fulfil specified criteria above. You are welcome to find the cache and sign the log at any time, but if you do not get a green tick on the checker, please use a ‘Write Note’ to say you have visited, then have fun working towards the challenge, and add a Found It log when you qualify.
KOMMER SEM24 is a series of challenges, covering all 81 difficulty and terrain combinations, placed in three sets. The set that this cache belongs to is in bold.
SET 1 (45 caches including all T1.5 – T3.5 D/Ts)
An undulating walk around Lullingstone Country Park, with some steeper slopes, all caches are at ground level or a small step up. Please use the PAID parking option provided on the first cache of this set (here). The country lanes around this part of Kent are narrow and there is no free on-street parking available.
SET 2 (27 caches including all T4 – T5 D/Ts)
A walk through beautiful hilly countryside and woodlands with several ascents and descents, some of them steep. It can be muddy in places, even in summer. Please take water and sun protection, and most importantly a 9m pole as all caches are hidden at height in trees. Please use the FREE parking option provided on the first cache in this set (here) – but note that this is locked at 7pm in summer and 5pm in winter. Use the FREE alternative if you might return later.
SET 3 (9 wheelchair accessible T1 D/Ts)
These are intended as drive-by caches, largely in laybys, which are at ground level and spread over the area that SET 1 and SET 2 can be found in. You can usually park right next to the cache, but they do not always offer pedestrian access.
This cache has been placed for the South East UK Mega 2024 (GCAAB24)
