It is that time of year again when folks from the Space Coast and surrounding areas gather for some Christmas cheer. Whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukah or anything else you are welcome to join us for some plain ole fun. This event is nothing more than cachers gathering at a wonderful park, sharing some holiday cheer and talking geocaching. This year we decided to stay with the theme "A Charlie Brown Christmas" because Barb and I could not agree more about how this and all holiday's have become so commercialized. There will be no meal, but if you feel so inclined you can bring a homemade snack if you would like. If you are not comfortable with that no problem, don't bring a snack. Everyone is welcome.
We will have another white elephant gift exchange for those that choose to participate. Bring a gift valued between $5.00 - 10.00. This does NOT need to be a brand new gift. You are more than welcome to bring some recycled gift that was given to you last year that you have no idea what you are supposed to do with it...perfect bring it wrapped and pawn it off on someone else. We will explain all the rules once everyone is there.
This years event will take place at Rotary Park on South Merritt Island. It is a beautiful park with a nice boardwalk and great kids playground. We will gather at two of the small pavailions in the trees. Oh yeah, there are even some caches in the park for your caching pleasure. We hope to see all our friends at this event. We are looking forward to meeting new ones as well. Come out and share the afternoon with a great group of people.
When: Sunday December 17th 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Where: Rotary Park Merritt Island 1899 South Courtenay Parkway
Only participate in the gift exchange if you are comfortable doing so.
