HET PREDIKHEREN

Het Predikheren is een onderkomen voor culturele activiteiten in de Belgische stad Mechelen. Onder meer de bibliotheek van de stad is er gevestigd. Het Predikheren is gelegen in de gebouwen van het voormalige predikheren- of dominicanenklooster en de bijbehorende kloosterkerk. Het klooster werd tussen 2011 en 2019 gerestaureerd. De restauratie maakte deel uit van het Mechelse stadsvernieuwingsproject Tinelsite. Zowel het klooster als de kerk zijn deel van het cultureel erfgoed.

The Predikheren is a home for cultural activities in the Belgian city of Mechelen. Among other things, it houses the city's library. The Predikheren is located in the buildings of the former Preacher's or Dominican Monastery and its monastery church. The monastery was restored between 2011 and 2019. The restoration was part of Mechelen's urban renewal project Tinelsite. Both the monastery and the church are part of the cultural heritage.
