Die Eisenstraße verbindet das milde, sanft-hügelige Mostviertler Alpenvorland mit der wild-alpinen Bergwelt der Ybbstaler Alpen. Heute ist sie ein Musterbeispiel für zukunftsorientierte, engagierte Regionalentwicklung, für lebendig aufbereitete Geschichte und für sorgsamen Umgang mit der Natur. Der Verein „Niederösterreichische Eisenstraße“ umfasst mittlerweile 24 Gemeinden mit 63.468 Einwohnern und einer Gesamtfläche von 1.421,83 km2 (mehr als drei Mal so groß wie Wien) und setzt zahlreiche Förderprogramme um. Die Tafeln kennzeichnen teilnehmende Gemeinden.
Der Cache ist an der letzten Säule angebracht, damit er gut verborgen bleibt.
The Eisenstraße connects the mild, gently undulating Mostviertel foothills of the Alps with the wild mountain world of the Ybbstal Alps. Today it is a prime example of future-oriented, committed regional development, of history brought to life and of careful handling of nature. The "Lower Austrian Iron Road" association now includes 24 communities with 63,468 inhabitants and a total area of 1,421.83 km2 (more than three times the size of Vienna) and implements numerous funding programs.
