CITO 2023 Season 2
Attend a CITO between September 1st and November 30th to earn the Season 2 Souvenir
Parking: Suggested parking is in the car park at the provided coords, there is a footbridge to take you over to Horsbere. Or if there is space you can park by the gates leading in to the brook (alternative parking).
Where: Meet by the main gate at 0930 (alternative parking coords) or find us in Cliff's Wood (published coords), look for the flag.
What: We will be raking the cut grass from the Cliff's Woods.
The removal of the cut grass removes nutrients from the area and helps the wildflowers establish. Seeds and plug plants were sown in this woodland last autumn.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools if necessary, however, if you have your own rake and gloves please do bring them along.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please make sure you bring along your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work!
