We didn't get to this little thought in July. Let's try it again. Another way to find it matches this weekend. You could hear an Anthem this weekend which could be Strategic when Explained. Those are the exact coordinates for this event. Thought we could do a little puzzle while cleaning the park.
This is a Cache In Trash Out (CITO) event.
This is my second CITO at this park. The park is near the north edge of Lakeland, Florida. It has a cache and the start of an AL with more caches not too far away as a treat nearby. Mike Wallace, Parks Maintenance Manager, approved this event.
What: CITO - Lake Gibson Park at Exit 33
Where: 4901 Lake Gibson Park Road
South on Socrum Loop Road (where I-4 Westbound exit intersects), turn on Fernery Road. Then, turn north on Lake Gibson Park Road.
If from I-4 Eastbound exit, turn right on Highway 33 (Lakeland Hills Boulevard). Turn right on Socrum Loop Road.
When: Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Why: To enhance the beauty of this park
How:
- Mark will attend on the event
- Sign the log book if you like that style.
- Grab a bag or bring your own. During my last CITO, many cachers preferred grocery bags over large bags.. We emptied them into a large bag and refilled as needed.
- Grabbers will be available or you might want to bring your own.
- Gather any trash around the park.
- Bring it back to the GZ.
- Sanitize your hands. (Sanitizer will be available at the GZ.)
- Pose for our group photo. I try to take photos throughout the event also.
- Log your attendance on the app or online.
- Receive your smile.
- EDIT - looks like doesn't work for this month's souvenir but will add to your CITO icon count. (Original - Bonus: Earn one icon toward Wheel of Challenges: Iconic Cacher souvenir!)
