Welcome to Hazelmere Dam
Hazelmere Dam is a concrete gravity type dam located on the Mdloti River in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It was established in 1977 and its primary purpose is to serve for irrigation and domestic use. The dam has a height of 44 m, a length of 478 m, and a total capacity of 37 133 000 m⊃3.
The dam is also part of the Hazelmere Dam and Resort, a popular destination for water sport enthusiasts who enjoy water skiing, power boating and jetskiing. The resort is managed by Msinsi Resorts and Game Reserve, a subsidiary of Umgeni Water.
The resort offers various facilities such as accommodation, conferencing, boat lockers, ablution blocks, a lifestyle lounge and a lapa.
Entry fee required (R40 per adult and R30 for children/Pensioner) or Wild card free entry. Check online before visiting as fees change annually.
