At the "Port of La Crosse" where the eagle rests high, in a revolution of quarry, a hidden prize lies, the nest of the Eagle, its gaze is firmly set, follow its eyes, to where secrets are met.

A NEW, official Riverside Park geocache is here! It was placed with locals and travelers in mind. Please be respectful and mindful of your many surroundings and replace the cache where you found it. Make memories, enjoy the swag and let it always remind you of the beauty we have here in the Driftless Region!

History

Riverside Park is home to several sculptures, the most monumental of which is a large, steel eagle atop a tree trunk. This statue was created by Elmer Petersen and erected in 1986 at the park entrance. The eagle was removed in 2020, restored and replaced in the summer of 2022.
