St Andrew's Church was built in 1857. It was to serve an area comprising much of the Old Town, Union Street, with parts of Duppas Hill Lane and Terrace, West Street and Queen's Street, with a total number of residents around 2400.
In 2011, a crystal glass screen was installed, diving the church space into two to form a worship space and a community meeting area. The screen can change from clear to opaque with the application of electrical voltage, and was the first of it's type to be installed in any church in Britain.
Tweezers and a pen are needed.
