This is a park and grab cache. Daytime cache only. Bring your own pencil, You are looking for a pill bottle. Note the difficulty rating. Some of you will think it is too high. Others will think it is appropriate.
This is a tribute cache to a Chicagoland geocacher with the trail name of “Panther in The Den”. Panther or PID as we knew him was a great asset to the game. His group caching trips could last for more than eighteen hours.
I remember one night after midnight in a small park in a small town looking for a nano. We were trying to explain to the police officer what we were doing when a member from our group yelled, “Found It”. We asked the officer if he wanted to take a group photo with us. He declined and told us to finish what we were doing and move on.
PID’s hides were amazing. You never knew what you were getting into hunting a PID cache. This cache is a replica of one of his hides. Panther in The Den might be gone, but not forgotten. John passed a couple years ago. R.I.P. Panther in The Den.
