Number 1760 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.
This cache is placed in recognition of a rather fine "Fine Pair" in the village of Nyewood in West Sussex.
As the Fine Pair are on the edge of a communal green which also contains a children's play area the actual cache is a couple of hundred metres away (as the crow flies), so you just need to work out where.
Examine the phone box:
A=the number of DIFFERENT words around the top (beneath the crowns)
Examine the postbox:
B.CD = the collection time on Monday to Friday.
E.FG = the collection time on Saturday
The cache can be found at N50 59.(E-A)AB W000 51.(E-A)(E-1)(B-1)
Checksum of all 15 digits is 58.
If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do. I would just ask that you first visit www.afinepair.co.uk to request a number to avoid any duplication
mattd2k also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series. Once your cache is published please contact him via geocachingafinepair@gmail.com to have yours added
