Gainesville Area Geocachers proudly (?) present an OFFICIAL (woo hoo!)
MAKER MAGIC EVENT!
OK, hold the applause...but DO log your "Will Attend" so that we know how much space we need (not that it really matters unless more than 35 of you attend) and the supplies that need to be provided (not that it really matters since you are encouraged to bring your own stuff).
We will be meeting in Room A of the Millhopper Branch Library (don't go to Tower Road, don't go downtown). As per library guidelines, this event IS open to the public. On a Sunday there should be ample parking. Go through the front doors and hang a sharp right.
The goal of THIS event are:
1. to discuss placement opportunities for "clever" and (hopefully even) "gadget" geocaches and the guidelines that determine those placements, and
2. to share creative ideas, along with working on some creations that don't involve power tools, saws, hammers, huge amounts of electricity, loud sounds....at least while in the library. You can bring a completed container to share, or build on site if you want to share your secret process.
No one is REQUIRED to build a cache container, but all are encouraged to at least give their input in what makes you smile, laugh, award favorite points, tell others, etc. We want to, in the words of one well-known West Virginian, share in "raising the geocaching bar, one cache at a time".
