We're delighted that this event has been awarded official 'Maker Magic' status by Geocaching HQ - everyone who posts an 'Attended' log on the event will be awarded the Maker Magic souvenir.
Since there are many new and enthusiastic new geocachers that appeared at the Malaysian geocaching horizon lately, I though it would be a good opportunity to have this Event to meet them share with them what geocaching is all about.
The Format of the Event will cover the following by BernGPS, Barnyard Dawg and Ramakristan on the following :
- What is geocaching,
- Different types of geocache (Traditional, Multi, Mystery, Event, Earth Cache, Adventure Lab and WherIGo,
- What are the Apps required to play geocaching,
- The benefits of being a Premium member,
- How to look for a geocache and how not to stick out like a sore thumb when looking for a geocache in a muggle filled area,
- How to log a geocache,
- how to place a geocache and what is needed to be in it.
- Educational Workshop on how to build a geocache by Ramakristan and BernGPS will be sharing with attendees on different types of geocaches and how to DIY a geocache from empty containers from your kitchen and all.
- Barnyard Dawg will share on how to set up Earth caches
